About Us

Our Principles

Strong Communities

Everyone deserves to live healthy, happy lives in safe neighborhoods and thriving communities. All families should be able to afford housing, put food on the table, and pay the doctor. Children of all races across the state should have safe environments in which to learn, and deserve the education that comes from quality teachers who are valued and paid for their essential work. Working Utahns should all have a stable job, living wage, and secure healthcare.

Equal Rights

Utahns of all races, abilities, genders, religions, and sexual orientations should have access to the same opportunities and must never have their freedom to live authentically taken away from them.

Sustainable Future

We all want to live in a world with drinkable water, breathable air, healthy soil for food, and beautiful outdoors where we can live and play peacefully. A healthy environment is an essential part of every human’s life, and is the foundation upon which the health of current and future generations of Utahns rests.

Good Government

People deserve to be represented by governments at the local and national levels that will fight for them, treat them fairly, and which conduct their business transparently. We are all better served when governments and elected officials are transparent, ethical, and maintain a robust and functioning public sector. For the needs of people to be met, everyone must have a voice at the ballot box and the ear of their lawmakers. A thriving democracy’s authority comes from—and works for— the people, not special interests.

Our Mission

To drive a public narrative that empowers Utah’s electorate and holds public officials accountable.

Our Vision

A better Utah, where everyone can live happy, healthy, and productive lives; where public officials act with integrity, transparency, and for the common good; where informed and engaged Utahns seek progressive change of and through the political process.

Core Values

Integrity

Always do the right thing by basing actions on facts, reason, and strong moral principles.

Diversity

Engage with and include a broad spectrum of people with different backgrounds to lift up a diversity of perspectives and input (including, among others, race, color, ethnicity, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, economic status, and ability).

Equity

Recognize that every person comes from different backgrounds and circumstances, and seek to provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed and thrive.

Respect

Treat all people with dignity and fairness, accepting them for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them.

Transparency

Communicate honestly and openly.

Collaboration

Seek solutions to further progressive ideals through leadership and cooperation with other individuals, groups, and organizations.

Work Ethic

Work hard and set high expectations for our quality of work, while maintaining a balance with the rest of life that promotes physical, emotional, and mental health.

Accountability

Accept responsibility for actions (and inactions), behaviors, performance, and decisions.

Innovation

Explore new ideas and solutions in the face of changing circumstances by embracing creativity and reasonable risk.
