Press Release – BETTER UTAH NOTES LACK OF IMPORTANT PRIMARY ISSUES IN NEW ADMINISTRATION

Salt Lake City, UT – After President Trump was sworn into office, the White House website reflected his new presidency – most noteworthy being the change in issues enumerated beneath the “Issues” tab. Better Utah noted the lack of “Climate Change” and “Civil Rights” (including LGBT rights), which had been present before the transition of White House power (archived website here).

Better Utah Board Chair and Founder, Josh Kanter, issued the following statement:

“The inauguration is not even over, and the new administration has already sought to divide rather than unite. This shift in issues reflects a shift in values away from inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance. Failing to acknowledge the importance of climate change and civil rights as top issues in the new administration should concern us all.”
